LONE STAR CHALLENGE TRYOUTS

Tryouts: Monday, Oct 28  ●  3-4:15pm  ●  NHE Library

Calling all 4th, 5th, and 6th graders interested in joining NHE's award-winning Lone Star Challenge (LSC) team!  Tryouts will be held Monday, October 28 from 3-4:15pm in the NHE library.  To sign up, look for the informational flyer in your Tuesday folder, then turn in the permission slip to your homeroom teacher by Friday, October 18.

LSC is an academic competition for elementary students based on the high school Academic Decathlon model.  RISD schools compete for individual and team awards in math & science, reading & social studies, essay writing, and a super quiz.  This year's theme is 'The Renaissance' and includes content on discoveries, medicine, science, and the life and culture of the period. 

LSC provides an outstanding enrichment opportunity for students interested in supplementing their knowledge.  It's also a great way to represent Northwood Hills, make new friends, and have fun.  Click here for the detailed information sheet and permission form.
