We had a fun-filled August with lots of back-to-school activities and events! Thank you to everyone who joined us—and especially to the volunteers who showed up and helped make each event possible.

Grandparents’ Lunch
Almuerzo con los Abuelos
Calling all NHE grandparents! Bring a lunch and join us on September 11 for a special time with your grandchild.
Please review the school lunch schedule on the flyer below and plan to arrive approximately 10 minutes before your grandchild’s lunch time. This will allow enough time to check in and be seated.

We are working hard to prepare the NHE garden and chicken coop for fall planting. Join us on September 19 from 9:00–11:00 a.m. for garden and chicken-coop cleanup.

Help Care for the NHE Chickens
Ayude a Cuidar las Gallinas de NHE
We also need volunteers to care for the chickens on weekends and school holidays. Volunteers will visit the coop and provide the care the chickens need while school is closed.

Fall After-School Clubs

Our after-school program coordinator, Rubria Marines-Price, Mrs. Smith, and NHE PTA are excited to offer approximately 11 after-school clubs during the fall semester.
Kids Beach Club will meet on Fridays from 3:15–4:15 p.m.
Additional teacher-led clubs may also be available. Applications for teacher-led clubs will require a brief written submission.
Parents and community volunteers may also be invited to help support our clubs. Questions? Email clubs@nhepta.org .

NHE Movie Night

Get excited for our annual NHE Movie Night! Grab your family and friends, bring chairs, and join us on the NHE blacktop at 6:00 p.m. on September 30.
Food and concessions will be available for purchase while we enjoy The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. This is a fun event for the whole family, so don’t miss it!
