Campus Check-In and Security
All visitors must check in at the NHE front office and present a valid, state-issued driver’s license or ID. For large events, families may receive an RSVP form in advance to help speed up the check-in process.

Submit the RISD volunteer application and required background check for the 2026–2027 school year.

Log Volunteer HoursVolunteer clearance must be renewed every school year. RISD advises that background checks may take up to five business days, so please apply before your first volunteer activity.

Every Hour Makes a Difference
RISD recognizes schools based on their reported volunteer hours. NHE is proud to have consistently earned Platinum Award status—and your hours help continue that tradition.

You do not need the exact date when submitting hours. The month and total number of hours are enough.
Volunteer Recognition
Volunteers who log more than 25 hours between May 15, 2026 and May 14, 2027 will be recognized with a Volunteer Certificate during the NHE Awards Night in May.
