JOIN US FOR DANCE, CUISINE, CRAFTS, & MORE AT MULTICULTURAL NIGHT

Thurs, Nov 21 ●  6-7:30pm ●  NHE Cafeteria

We hope all our NHE families will be able to join us at Multicultural Night on November 21 at 6:00pm.

  • Experience cuisine and culture from 15 countries represented: England, Ireland, Vietnam, Mexico, Italy, Brazil, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Denmark, El Salvador, Iceland, Lebanon, Sweden and Guatemala
  • Students will enjoy and participate in a live dance demonstration celebrating the culture of Mexico by Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico.
  • Visit our Music and Arts Table where students will be able to experience crafts and instruments from around the world

We will also have a Hispanic Families Outreach table with information in Spanish about activities and other ways to get connected at NHE. 

Bring the entire family to experience and celebrate the diversity of our school! Don't miss out! This will be a fun and educational event.

Padres de NWH, esperamos que nos puedan acompañar en las festividades multiculturales el dia 21 de Noviembre a las 6:00pm. Tendremos comida, música y información de muchos países incluyendo a Inglaterra, Irlanda, Vietnam, Mexico, Italia, Brazil, Alemania, Grecia, Dinamarca, El Salvador, Islandia, Líbano, Suecia y Guatemala.

Nuestro enfoque será Mexico y tendremos como invitados el Ballet Folkloriko de Anita N. Martínez, tal como actividades the arte para los estudiantes.  Aparte tendremos una mesa de información para nuestras familias Hispanas. Aquí pueden traer sus preguntas y pueden infórmense sobre las actividades de NHE y cómo participar como voluntario en sus clases. Traigan a su familia y pasen un buen rato con su familia de NHE!
 

NOMINATING COMMITTEE ELECTIONS ON NOV 21 

The NHE PTA Nominating Committee will be elected at the November 21 Membership Meeting prior to Multicultural Night. Per Article VII of the NHE PTA Bylaws, the nominating committee consists of 5 members and 2 alternate members. Any PTA member may serve. The nominating committee prepares the slate of PTA Officers for the following year prior to the March election. 

Currently, the following PTA members have been nominated and agreed to serve if elected: Jordan Teeple, Tina Meenes, Cicelyann Zoccola, Gus Bahn, Karen Crowder and alternates: Heather Gray and Laura Corder. Nominations will be accepted from the floor. If there are no additional nominations, the election will be by voice vote. If there are more nominees than spots, the election will be by ballot.
