Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Northwood Hills Elementary! Our volunteers are essential for supporting our staff, implementing programs and events, and nurturing the learning experience for our students. Every contribution of time helps, no matter how big or small. Please see the various opportunities we have available this year and select those that interest you. Volunteer Opportunities
Movie Night
This is for signing up to help with the Movie Night that occurs in late September/early October.
Homecoming
This is to sign up to help NHE participate in the RHS Homecoming festivities in October.
Multi-cultural events
This is to express interest in helping with Multi-Cultural night activities in November.
Auction
This is to express interest in helping to plan and/or execute activities surrounding the Spring Auction Fundraiser.
Teacher Appreciation
This is to express interest in helping with teacher appreciation week (planning and execution).
Field Day
This is to express interest in helping with the field day activities in May.
Spring Carnival
If we are able to host a carnival in the spring, this is to sign up to help with the event.
6th Grade Activities
This is to sign up to help with the various 6th grade activities at the end of the year like picnic, field trip, clap-out, etc.
Classroom Parties
This is to express interest in helping the room parents with supplies and support at holiday parties throughout the year in your child's classroom.
Library
This is to express interest in helping Mrs. Lozure re-stock books during the school day throughout the year.
Book Fair
This is to express interest in helping with the fall and spring book fairs.
Garden
This is to express interest in helping when opportunities arise in the Garden.
Dad's Club
This is to express interest in helping with the activities we like to reserve for the Dads, like the Pancake Supper.
Fine Arts
This is to express interest in helping with any fine arts activities that are planned throughout the year.
Clothes Closet
This is to express interest in helping with the RISD Clothes Closet.
General Volunteer
This is to express interest in being a general volunteer if you aren't sure yet which opportunities you'd like to help with. We can reach out to you at various times throughout the year to see if you're available when an opportunity arises.
